Japanese Garden Spring

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Japanese gardens celebrate “shin ryoku” (I’m sure I misspelled it…)-- the delicate light green of the maples in the spring. The azaleas complement the scene here in Seattle.

Delton: What a beautiful scene. Reminds me of the Butchart Gardens in Victoria. I like the variety of colors and the reflections in the water are icing on the cake. Nicely seen, captured and presented. >=))>

A beautiful scene, Delton. I usually think of these gardens depicted in the fall with the maples in color, but this spring scene is gorgeous. The only thing I might suggest is the use of a polarizer to see if you could get the reflections from the flat rock surfaces toned down and eke some detail out of them.
