This is Kelley Point Park in Portland, Oregon. The park consists of both lush green areas for picnicking, and a long stretch of beach where the Willamette and Columbia rivers merge. I shot this in the early AM. It’s a 15-shot photo stack which is how I got the sky effects. Comments and critiques always welcome.
Super dramatic here - low and close was the way to go for sure. I like the old pilings, but wonder if a more diagonal approach would make them more effective as a leading line. I also wonder if the mid-tones could use a lift. There is a big dynamic range to work with here so there are lots of possibilities.
