Both are nice sharp images of the Killdeer in flight. I like the open beak and the slight head turn. Personal preference tends to be wings down.

Looks like a typical Killdeer, screaming its head off. Very good flight shots, Allen. For some reason, I prefer the wing position in the second-maybe because it’s the near wing that’s showing off the upper surface.

Great image! I’ve never been able to catch a kildeer in flight. I also like the wings-down position best.

Very nice work getting this killdeer in flight! I love the open beak. I normally am a wings down kind of person, but for this one I am leaning towards the wings up. The triangle of light on the wings down (far wing) is kind of pulling my eye in the second image.

Hi Allen
You are turning me into a Canon R7 believer, maybe when Canon come out with a Markll I will pick one up. The Killdeer image quality is fine. Catching the Killdeer in flight is cool.
Nice work.
