Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

Female kingfisher taking off from an isolated perch. These guys are quick and very hard to anticipate. I just happened to be shooting a perched shot when she decided to take off.

Very cool Allen. Out of curiosity, what was your frame rate for this one?

Hi Dennis, R7 was shooting at 30 fps. These are selected photos from the burst.

Thanks, Allen. I haven’t tried that speed on the A1 yet. I usually set for low to medium.

Fantastic captures! And any one of these photos stands alone (though my fave is 12). I think you have captured the character of these birds in motion very well. The background is wonderful and compliments the colours in the bird beautifully…I would prefer if I didn’t see the blue at the top but that is being very picky. Congratulations!
