Is this a composite: No
The first is better but i would remove the blue at the bottom and leave it as a white stripe of snow (particularly in thr llc). I like this image a lot. I would actually reduce the intense blues everywhere n the image .
Of the two images presented, I prefer the first one, the second one feels too cramped for my taste. And I agree with @Igor_Doncov, the blues are just too intense, especially in the sky. To me the most interesting elements here are in the left two thirds of the image. I might consider another composition like this,
