A nice series of the landing, Peter. I particularly like the second image with the toes just touching the water. Something about it speaks to me in an anthropomorphic way: “Little Miss Dainty Testing the Bath”.

Peter: Great sequence and captures of a beautiful bird. I’m torn between #1 and #3. I like the head position in #1 with the open right wing as the BG and #3 for both wings open. I’m not a bird guy but these are wonderful shots. >=))>

Really nice shots, Peter. Good job on the whites. I like the first the best for the wing position and the foot just approaching the water. Excellent series.

I think you are lucky if this bird is still hanging around. I love the third images with the head feathers blowing in the wind. It’s too bad that the feet are cut off…but I know what it is like to be in the moment catching bird action, can’t always get everything in the frame. I do like the first picture. Great capture!

HI Peter, nice captures with interesting wing positions displaying the landing pose. My fave is #1. Love seeing both yellow feet including the reflection. Well done.

Hi, Dennis, Bill, Allen Brooks, Rikki, & Allen Sparks
Thank you for your kind words. Although the Z8 can capture 20 frames a second. My 76-year-old body doesn’t move that fast. Snowy’s left foot was out of the frame in the third shot.

What a lovely set of images Peter! You’ve handled the white beautifully. All three images are wonderful. I am leaning toward the 3rd as favourite, because of the hair do. It’s a shame about his cut off feet. (No chance of a leg reconstruction from the previous image?) The pose in the first is wonderful.

Hi Glenys
I am glad you like the photographs. My software doesn’t allow things to be added to the frame.

Lovely set of one of my favorite birds. I always like seeing them walk on the water!

Hi Jeffrey
Thank you for the comment. They often put on a nice show.
