Hi Jim. This abstraction works well and the white lavender is fine where its at. I see some lateral lines on the RH side of the image that could be softened up to make them less obvious. The swirling pattern looks good. Lots of rich color and the lavender field made for an unusual and color abstract image…Jim
Jim: I liked your original capture of the swirling lavender but I like this one even more. The hints of greater detail make this more alluring for me. One thing I love about images like this is their uniqueness that can never be duplicated. Most excellent.>=))>

Jim I love the abstract feel and color of this image. I’m inspired to try this kind of thing more. ICM just isn’t something I ever think of but it’s quite apparent I should. This is beautiful.
Jonathan, Thank you. I don’t usually think about ICM, but with the wind blowing so hard (and Lon’s recent wonderful images), I thought it was a great time to have at it. I also think it would have been a good time for using a ND filter and a tripod, but I did not have either with me. Seems like wheat fields would present good opportunity for similar shots.
Oh My! I just love this one too! I just love the soft and whispy patterns the lavender have created in the windy conditions AND how you’ve taken that motion even further. Outstanding work and image!
