Leaning Over So Old

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Driftwood Beach Jekyll Is. I was amazed at these old tree and the raw texture… So i processed this as Old Raw Worn Tree … Old film look… Kept it fun and hopefully interesting. B&W was the only choice in my opinion…

Specific Feedback

Hand held and wished I had shot with tripod but I broke my shutter cable. So I went for that Old Film look of yesteryears.

Technical Details

ISO 500 Shutter 400 f14 edit in photoshop. My editing was heavy on Old Look or Vibe.

Great sky in the background, Gill and I love the form and texture of the tree. I wish the branch on the far left didn’t leave the frame. Pretty cool driftwood image. Most of our beach piles in the PNW seem to be logs with very little of this kind of form.

Thanks. I framed it to keep the texture happening. I’m always running things off the side especially if I think something looks more important to me. Maybe I’ve created a style. Maybe not.
Thanks for showing interest. I shot a lot of images and I’ll post a few.
