I don’t have any technical qualms about this one. I’m more interested in knowing whether people find it interesting and whether the colors put people off.

Image Description

This was taken by a favorite creek. It’s what my mind’s eye saw but it isn’t what the camera saw.

Technical Details

ISO 100, 70mm, f/16, 1.6 sec. I pushed the white balance towards blue and then left the colors pretty much alone. I changed the tones quite a bit in Photoshop.

Reminds me of the Neil Diamond tune, “Song Sung Blue”.

I really like this. The yellow/blue color scheme along with darks give this a mystical vibe.

Preston, thanks, and I’m glad you like it.

I love it! The leafy branch is so artfully draped and fits with the leaning trees. Whatever your camera thinks it saw, I like what you saw better!

Thanks, Diane.

I absolutely love this image. Somehow the yellow leaves and leaning branches create a perfect balance to my eye. Not sure if I’d label this as abstract but it does have a surreal feeling. I think you could darken the shadows a bit an lift the midtones a hair without loosing the look. The color grading tool in ACR would be my choice for that.
