Lincoln Sparrow

Another life bird from a trip last spring to Arizona. It was an interesting setup: a lady who ran a B&B had set up maybe twenty chairs in front of numerous feeders and charged $5 per person to sit, view birds, and photograph them. Well worth the price of admission. A total of six life birds in a few hours. The only drawback was it was quite shady, so I used the on-camera flash on several shots.

What technical feedback would you like if any?

Yes, it is fairly monotone, but not much I could do about it, though I did darken the background in PS

Any pertinent technical details:

Canon 7D Mark II; Sigma 150-600 at 435 mm. 1/250 with flash at f7.1; ISO 400

The flash worked nicely on this, Allen. I like the palette and you managed very nice separation from the background.

The color and detail are quite pleasing. The background is tough on this one, perhaps due to what is possibly mid afternoon light. I have not seen one of these here in Olympia.
