Description
As the day begins, the lotus opens, warmed by the morning sun. It’s a simple daily occurrence, yet it speaks volumes about nature’s quiet, steady rhythms. The image captures this routine elegance, a flower and the sunrise in quiet harmony.
Haven’t had time to do much here for a few weeks but I’ve been enjoying some quick looks, and admiring your lotus blooms. This one is fantastic – great light and textures with a lovely BG!
For some reason the Sydney Opera House comes to mind, Saundie. Lovely petal shapes and the dark shadows help accentuate the brighter tones in the blossom. Lovely lighting which helps create dimension in the blossom. Not sure if it’s a water spot or dust spot, but there is one above the lotus.
Thanks, Alfredo! You must be psychic. This was taken just around the corner from the Opera House in the Botanic Gardens, which has a lotus pond. The spot in the background is a bokeh effect on a water drop on a leaf. I should probably delete it. Thanks again!
