Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

we fortunately had another clear and warm day which allowed me to get out. There were e quite a few birds, including 2 Osprey, hundreds of cormorants, 3 or 4 great blue Herons, and of course the ducks. we also had a couple of Canada geese with 4 goslings , this was taken in late afternoon, hope it isn’t too saturated
this is about 50% or slightly less than full frame. Wish he was headed a little more in my direction

Although a dirt common bird, mallards have some spectacular colors best seen in bright light like in this image. You might try to tone down the bright whites slightly. Otherwise, you did very well with this speedy drake. Well done…Jim

Hi David, nice catch! A fine flying pose. I agree with Jim on toning down some of the brighter areas. Nice flight image with good separation from the water.

Hi David
I think the saturation takes away some of the detail in the Mallard, nice framing.
