I was shooting photos of the Trumpeter Swans in the morning sunlight when suddenly two Merganser hens flashed across the scene. I thought it would be a good fit for this challenge due to the obvious size difference.
Sony a6500, FE200600G @ 600 mm, ISO-200, f/6.3, 1/3200, hand held.
Gary, the action difference between the serene swans and the splashing mergansers also stands out here. The oof grass in the corner adds nicely to the setting.
Great photo Gary. Love the contrast of the action created by the mergansers against the swans so calm in the back. The ripples in the water and the OOF grass complete the scene, for me. Perfect image for the WC.
Agree with other posters Gary but what I really enjoy are all the splashes and water drops that emphasize the movement taking place, contrasted with the relative placidness around the swans.
