Description

This was taken from a hide. The squirrel was baited with hazelnuts, which made it thirsty, apparently. Thanks to optimal image stabilisation, I was able to shoot at 1/100" and keep the ISO under control. I need to zoom out a little bit to keep as much as possible of the ears in picture without getting too much of the busy background into the picture.

Specific Feedback

The picture is quite centred, but given the topic of reflection, I thought this should be OK. Would it have been better to move the squirrel closer to the left edge?
Some people do not like square formats. Any suggestions about that aspect of this picture?

Fantastic shot! I personally enjoy the square format and the centering of the squirrel. I love the hairs sticking up from its little ears. The sharpness of this photo is superb. Great job capturing this thirsty little fella

Hi Xavier, the square crop looks fine to me even though I agree the image is tight for the ear tufts up top. Wonderful sharpness on the squirrel. Love the reflection even though the green horizontal running through it is a distraction. I think the remove tool in photoshop would do a good job in removing it if you didn’t mind that kind of processing. Very nice image.
