I was at Four Mile Reaver, looking for something to photograph, when these three Mallard chicks popped out of the reeds. I thought it was only right to include mom, as they swam away.

These are adorable Pete. I love the eye contact in all of them. The angles and lighting are excellent. You’ve got a great handle on how to use your R5 as stated. Great series and image story.

Thank you for your comments. Then I spotted the mother Mallard she was backlight big time, so I started tracking her to get a better lighting angle when the three chicks popped out of the reeds. I had know idea they were there.
