It was a cold winter day and the moon was rising over the mountains in the East as the sun was setting in the West & lighting the mountain peaks. Taken on Thompson Pass, near Valdez, Alaska.

A very simple composition that works very well. The detail in the largest version is superb… :+1:

Gary, a lovely exposure on the moon and the mountain side. By the shape of the moon, I’d say about 3 days before full. The touches of blowing snow along the sunlit slope are a special extra.
