Gunsight at Sunset

Gunsight Mountain as taken at sunset on a cold February evening near Eureka Lodge on the Glen Highway, Alaska. The reason for the name of the mountain is quite obvious!

Gary, this is a fine view of the mountains, clouds and gentle colors in the sky. Your pano crop and the long angle of the highway across the frame work very well together leading my eyes along the road and then back across the frame along the mountains.

This is a great image, Gary! I really enjoy the light spilling between the mountains and highlighting the fog/clouds and the cool feel of the fore and mid-ground conveys a sense of the cold temps. I bet it was really cold and that must be a challenge shooting in those conditions!

Excellent perspective view, Gary, the dark fg and mid-distance trees leading the eye nicely up to the rich light in the distance.
