More Damn Paparazzi!

At least that’s how I interpret this poor Short-eared Owl’s look. There were a lot of us around as this owl has gotten the reputation of being a regular visitor at this location and there are lots of birders and bird photographers in the Skagit Valley of Washington in the winter. I liked the juxtaposition of the bird and car that shows the heavy human use of the area. It’s primarily farming on diked land that used to be tide lands. However, there’s significant industrial presence including our only refinery.

Does the white behind the car or the brightness of the grille distract too much?
