Description

I went down to our local lake on this cold, frosty morning and didn’t see any bald eagles that I was looking for but I did manage a shot or two of a black phoebe in the early morning sun.

I like the way the light catches the Phoebe’s eye and it’s breast, Dave. I’m not as fond of the perch, though I know the bird chose it. It’s rather dominating the image.

Good look at the Phoebe and a nice background. I’d be tempted to crop as much of the perch as possible, it does seem to overpower the Phoebe.

Sweet little bird in nice light!
I agree to cut out as much of that “perch” as possible to keep the spotlight on the bird.
Nice catch!
