Morning Vulture

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I was driving down a country road recently looking for raptors to photograph and I drove by this guy on the roadside. I passed him up, then changed my mind and turned around and came back for this shot taken from the car. I’m glad I did.

The crop feels a bit tighter than it needs to be to me, Dave, but that’s always a matter of taste. A nice shot of the vulture.

Hi Dave, I’m okay with the cropping for a close portrait. Nice exposure. Bird seems a bit soft to me.
1260mm?

Nice close-up look at the vulture. Nice background. I could see a bit more room on the right and top.
