The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I set up my 600 f4 near our feeders and managed to get many photos of juncos, titmice, and a few of one of our red bellied woodpeckers. I managed to snag this shot , but had to do some canvas extension on the RH side. I also left the branch in place on the LH side for context. The subject is fairly close to being in the center, but the content aware fill ran out of real estate to get more room on the right. Bg is snow, trees, and some sky.
Specific Feedback
This is fairly close to the actual colors found in this bird. Blacks may have to be adjusted. What do you think?
Technical Details
Z9 600mm f4 (1/4000 sec at f8.0, ISO 2000, fill at -2ev) DeNoise, crop for comp with addition of canvas on RH side. Content aware fill provided features for the added area. Slight tweak in brightness and contrast…Jim

Very cool flight shot, Jim. Woodpeckers are fast, so this is a real accomplishment. While the woodpecker is a bit centered the weight of the tree on the left shifts the balance enough to make this composition work nicely.
Agreed - tough catch and an accomplishment of note. Red bellies are some of my favorite woodpeckers because they’re so animated and very, very vocal. Good wing position and nice catchlight in the eye. Blacks look good in the bird to me since feathers become slightly translucent when fanned out like this.
Super catch!! The composition looks fine to me. Another trick for filling in added canvas is Generative Fill. It can be uncanny and the choices offered will usually yield a very subtle one.
The histogram shows a little leeway to bring down blacks – I’d try it with a curves adj layer and see how it looked. Might need some masking to give just a little punch to the wings.
Jim, great work to catch this female WP in flight! Detail looks great, and wing position really nice.
If it were mine, I’d probably tone down the bright whites above the bird, as they really compete with it, imo
Hi Jim, really nice in flight shot with the outstretched wing and good look at the eye. Exposure looks good even though the bird has a bit of a slightly flashed look to me. Still a fine catch. Agree with toning down the bright part of the BG just above the bird.
You. really nailed this, Jim. Excellent detail, especially for a flight shot. Colors look good. I like the tree, as you mentioned, for context; for me it adds to a BIF image.
