I was driving out to look for Bighorns, when I found a group of Mule Deer at the end of the road leading to my house. The lone buck in the group posed nicely. (7D2, 100-400 @ 349, 1/320 s, f/11, iso 200)

A boy in his prime for sure. Glad you were around to catch him behaving so well. Looks like these guys disappear into their environments just as well as white-tails do here. One minute you see him and the next he’s gone, like smoke. A beauty! Hope he makes it through hunting season.

A very nice specimen! I really like the sense of place that the background gives. I feel the whites in the tail area are a tad hot so perhaps some detail recovery there might help.
Nice regal pose for the fella. I really like the grasses up front to contrast with his coat.
