We were walking in a park and came across this small pond. Storks, Great Blue Heron, and White Pelicans were coming in for breakfast.

Technical Details

z8, Nikon 180-600mm, & 1.4ext, f11, 450mm, -1.7EV,1/2500, ISO 250 & 800, and cropped by 60% & 30% in DXO Photolab 9. I also used two masks on the Stork to control the white and blacks,

Nice series, Peter. It really shows off the awkward looking landing poses these (and many of their relatives) display. Artistically, I like the third the best for the wing flare just before touchdown.

Hi Peter, this series really shows off the gangly nature of these impressive birds. Like Dennis I like the wing position in the third image. I also really like the reflection in the last shot.
