New Lion on the block

The lion is great, Ken, but I find the bright orange foreground grasses quite distracting, and they don’t look real. Was there some artificial light on the foreground?

Great pose of Lion, like the intensity of eyes, was he crouching?
May tone down the brightness of foreground grasses and selectively increase the saturation of lion.

Wow, that’s an intense stare! I do like that look, but I can see what they are saying about those grasses in the FG being bright. They do show up a bit much; if you were going to print this, they could easily be darkened.
For me, that intense stare is the overriding aspect of this image.

Ken, an excellent pose from this fellow. Love those eyes!
I also find the orange grasses in the front a little distracting, so you might consider lightening them.
some added contrast to the lion would be great
