The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

A group of males and females were chasing each other around the undergrowth in woodland behind where I’m staying in NC. This male stopped for a few seconds, before resuming the chase. It’s great that such a beautiful bird is very common.

A gorgeous bird with lovely detail!! The reds are handled beautifully!

I’d give anything to have them where I live.

Excellent job on the reds in this iconic bird, Mike. The lighter tones toward the bottom of the vertical out-of-focus branch in front of the bird tend to draw my eye pretty strongly. I think if you could get it to mimic the upper half it would be ok.

Hi Mike, nice reds on the bird and good look at the eye. I like the diagonal of the perch and bird. I could see toning down the background branches.

Great capture, Mike. The color and composition came out very well. The soft background brings out the subject very well.
