My spouse and I were driving around looking for short eared owls when I spotted this northern Harrier near sunset. It was a fair ways off but the light was great and it was about the only thing we saw on yesterday afternoon.

hand held 1/1000, f6.3, iso 800. 600mm on full frame Processed in LR and Topaz with a fairly large crop.

Bryan, the bird is clearly intent on the field below. This shows off the Harrier’s hunting behavior and environment well.
