Nunavut #52

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I was fortunate to twice spend a couple weeks near Iqaluit, Nunavut, with time to wander on the tundra and that ancient, rocky landscape. Those trips remain among the most miraculous and productive photo journeys I’ve ever had. This pothole, one of many, was in a small transient stream bed, now ice filled as winter approached. I wondered—then and still—how long it had taken to wear the holes in the bedrock and who, if anyone other than me, had viewed them.

Specific Feedback

any and all. Clearly the resolution of that old digital camera is not what we have today, but still, remarkable at the time (early 2000)

Technical Details

Minolta DiMage 7i, 1/60, f/6.7, 20mm, ISO100 with minor adjustments in LR

John, the paired potholes and paired stone with the big “line” in between make a very intriquing scene. If it doesn’t add problems, a bit more room at the top and on the left would be good.

Thank you, @Mark_Seaver , and I agree wholeheartedly. Unfortunately this is one that was cropped like that in the camera.
