Oaks and Camas

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The classic plants of the Puget Sound prairie are the oaks and the Camas. The Camas will bloom before the oaks leaf out, offering a contrast in shape and form. The color image wasn’t revealing their shapes so I selected black and white .

Specific Feedback

Does the image succeed in contrasting the shapes of oak and Camas in a pleasing way?

Yes I think you succeeded. I quite like the composition and B&W conversion. I believe color would distract from the scene.

Thanks for the comment. I’ll look for future B&W opportunities. I think a stronger contrast would help such an image.
