Olive-Green Tanager
Atlantic Rainforest, Brazil

One of the more drab Brazil birds, but a very unique one. This one is found only in a very small area of southeastern Brazil, from Espírito Santo state south to eastern Santa Catarina and northeastern Rio Grande do Sul.

An attractive bird, well photographed. Good detail, attractive perch, and pleasing background with the hint of foliage on the left giving some environmental context. The current NR programs have pretty much freed us to take good photos in difficult lighting situations as shown in this image. Are you shooting in full manual or using manual and auto ISO?

Hi Sandy, this bird looks very nice to me and I like the overall olive color. Fine details captured and exposure looks good. BG is nice too. A more pronounced head turn would have been nice but this is still a fine image.

Hi, Allen - I never use Auto ISO, as the A1 utilizes “Zebras” for exposure manual exposure adjustments, similar to the “Blinkies” on other cameras.
