David, that sounds like some fantastic trips. 50,000 bear images! I was disappointed to not see ANY bears during my 5 months in Alaska. I was mostly not in the coastal regions where they are perhaps more prevalent, but I had still expected to see some bears at least. Oh well, another reason to go back. I am currently in the middle of nowhere British Columbia and I have been warned to expect quite a few black and brown bears here in a few months when they come out of hiberation.
