This was one of my favorite places to go and watch the crows. It was exciting to kind of feel like I was a part of their lives for a small part of the day.

Specific Feedback Requested

Anything. I was thinking of making this black and white but I kind of like the slight colors in the gravel and background. This was taken in mid morning sun, but pretty harsh, but I like the shadows and potential drama of the photo, what do you think? Any other thoughts always welcome!

Hi, Vanessa. I’ve always found crows difficult to photograph to get them exposed correctly. Perhaps if you cropped a bit off the right, and lightened the bird a bit?

Yes, I think they’re hard too. I took this a couple years back and am getting a tad better. I originally did a tighter crop but I missed having the shadow of the Crow, but maybe that doesn’t really add anything? Looking back I wish I had used a higher iso. When I try to bring up the exposure it washes the feathers out. I’ll have to try the curves feature… Thanks for your inputs!
