I was lucky to get fairly close to this Crow. I like how the overcast day allowed me to bring up its feather textures. D500, Nikon 200-500mm lens, hand held, 1/2500th, f 6.3, 500mm, ISO 3200, AI Clear, cropped to 3145 x 2351

A great job on this crow, Dave, to get the black feathers to show up so nicely. I find black colored birds aren’t easy to get the exposure right. Maybe it being cloudy helped you with that. Love his pose for you.

Hi Dave,

A very nice composition and the crow is tack sharp. The blacks are pretty close to where they should be. Crows are always taken for granted, but make a challenging subject for photographers. I like this one as presented…Jim

Good exposure with nice light on the crow and good detail through the black feathers. I like the pose and the background. Nice capture.
