Orange Sherbet

I would appreciate any technical and artistic feedback on the photo.

Chris, this is a fine view of the sun working hard to burn through the fog. The bit of grass at the bottom, the shapes of the trees, and the touches of light rays through the trees all come together very well. I also like how the tips of the trees are just barely seen. The centered, but obscured sun gives is a strong, but not dominant presence. One thought is to crop off about half of the empty sky, since I don’t see that space adding to the story. That crop would leave the sun centered horizontally, but not vertically, which might change the feeling that you’re looking for.

Nice. I see what you’re after. One suggestion would be to remove the very dark layer at the bottom. Or maybe just lighten it up.

Real nice high key almost abstract. I am totally on board with @Igor_Doncov 's suggestion to remove the bottom dark layer. I did it real quick in PS and liked the results.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. I will definitely try your crop idea.

Good suggestion. Thanks.

I’ll try the crop and/or lightening the bottom.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think this is much better.
