Wow, that is some splash! I like everything about this.
This is a heck of a catch! A couple weeks ago a loon took off running on the river behind the house and I watched it from the kitchen with binoculars - what a production! This photo just crackles with energy and the anticipation of the lift off.
Beautiful splash and the darter pose is wonderful, Jagdeep. To me the bird and water look a bit oversharpened with the feel of the HDR craze to it, but it’s a spectacular image.
What a catch Jagdeep - really shows off the power these birds need to get around. Love all the splashing water and the lighting angle adds a dramatic affect. Might try toning down the highlights in the big wave behind the bird but that is a nit. Well done!
