If this is a setup, I wonder if you have a perch that’s a little smaller in diameter? I love the lichen on this which makes it very interesting but I’m wondering with a bird this small if it takes some of the focus away from the main subject.
Allen, this is a gorgeous bird, and tact sharp. The background does make both bird and perch stand out nicely. I like how the brown background picks up the color in the lichen.

Allen, another beautiful image of a very small and very active bird! a bit niggling, but the subject may be slightly competing with the perch. Maybe a bit smaller perch, or a bit less dramatic lichens…who knew that lichens were dramatic! Anyway, great job.
