Printer question

I am thinking of getting a new printer. I currently use the Epson Pro 3880, which is very good. I am looking at the newer Epson Surecolor P900. Does anyone use one and thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Joey, I just moved to the Epson SC P900 recently after having my old P800 die on me after seven years of fine service. The P900 is quite easy to set up and once the differences are internalized, easy and trouble free to use. It makes jaw droppingly great prints if you have your color management game on and you use high quality paper specific color profiles. I was at first concerned about the smaller ink cartridge sizes but Red River paper did ink cost per print comparisons of a number of printers and it came out as the lowest cost to use. The paper holding trays are somewhat lightly constructed but with careful handling it seems it will hold up well. I top feed the thicker papers I normally print on singly and have had no feed issues. I have printed on up to 17x25 cut sheets without issue. Purchase an extra set of inks when you get the printer, the initial starter set is mostly consumed during setup and charging. Happy printing!

Thank you! My 3880 does a great job, but is many years old now and it is starting to show some wear. I have started using heavier papers from Red River and always use the profiles. Print quality is the main goal, so sounds like a winner.
