Any pertinent technical details: Red-tails are way up high on list of birds I love to shoot. Here’s one I got using my D500, Nikon 2-500 lens, hand held, 1/2000th, f/7.1, ISO 280, 500mm. cropped to 3107 x 2401

A very good flight shot, Dave. It looks like it was just after take-off. Great wing position and a nice view of the eye. The sky color looks a bit off, but that sometimes happens with conversion to sRGB.
