Red-tail Takeoff

Critique Style Requested: Standard

Description

I went driving around this morning looking for raptors. I like the look of this red-tail caught taking off.

Specific Feedback

Cropping? I wanted to leave some treetop to inform what it’s taking off from.

This is great Dave. The little fringe of tree gives it good perspective. You have really nice details, colors and especially action in this.

Very nice, Dave. The crop looks great, and the tree tops add value to the image. I really like the wing formation. You could work on the shadow in the wings and the bottom of the hawk if you wanted, but it’s still a great catch.

I like this photo just the way it is. I think the top of the trees adds perspective and complements the hawk.

I like the pose you caught Dave and leaving some of the tree tops in was a good idea. Details in the shadows looks good to me.
