What makes this image expressive?

Too be honest I wasn’t looking for an image like this. I was down on the beach looking for the grand vista when I noticed these markings on the sandstone cliffs. I looked closer and I saw a body embedded into the rock and it reminded of the resurrection holy cards I was given when I was a kid. The body laying in a tomb wrapped in cloth. Years before I had recreated that scene with me as the model laying on a slab of concrete.

I am interested to see if other people get the same feeling or is it me
subconsciously looking for this image.

Yes, I see it and it is really striking. Images like this are so hard to critique, because they are what they are and the way you have presented has to be the way it should be. Tonally, the cool feel really adds to the intent.
