The negative of the horizontal is the way all the point out of the frame - it’s sort of ‘leaking energy’ if you want a metaphor that works for me… those dead corners don’t work well either (bottom left and right).

@Tim_Parkin , thanks for your thoughtful critique! I’m sure you are a busy man, so thanks just for agreeing to do guest critiques! I think you nailed the issue with the horizontal version. I like the crop better than the distorted version, even though it is almost square. Yes, maybe a little bright in the center too. Thanks again!
