This submission if for the Ray Hennessy event.
This photo was taken at Staten Island Road in Central/Northern California, which is part of the Pacific Flyway for Sandhill Cranes. The photo was taken at sunset, with very little light, with a 100mm-400mm lens, so there is more noise than I would like and, not as sharp because of the slower shutter speed used.
