Description
I offer this as a counterpoint to @Jim_Zablotny 's recent most-excellent and perfect dahlia photos. The backsides and slightly-past dahlia’s interest me. I had to hurry to get this, though, because the gardeners were tidying up the spent flowers.
Specific Feedback
Does the balance feel ok on this? I’m thinking the wilty one is taking up too much of the frame relative to the fresh one.

Thank you @Bonnie_Lampley for the comment. This is a different photo of the life of a flower and shows that fall has arrived. I think that there is enough balance between the two flowers which defines the transition in flower development. The water drops and textures present are excellent. I also think that the lighting works well too and resulted in am artistic presentation which portrays the contrast between biginning and end for these two flowers. Well done…Jim
I really like this, Bonnie. The juxtaposition of the two flowers in different stages really works well and the more horizontal position of the aging one is perfect for reinforcing the story. The lighting and the detail in the two flowers are excellent and I think the Black and White presentation helps create the feel of the passing season here.
This is a treat Bonnie; you have such a unique eye. The lack of color, the cut off fresh bloom, and the central placement of the fading part of the lower flower really give the photo emotion. The water droplets are a nice sprinkle of eye candy. Well done!
