Nice job on this, Peter. Even though I no it’s not, it still gives the impression of a race. Details are superb for such a large group of birds.

Very nice, both the composition and IQ!!! I like the bits of cloud at the bottom and the tree, to give some contest. I wonder about another version with more canvas bottom and sides…

I never see these things flying. They have amazingly long necks.

I’ve never seen so many mute swans at once. Nice capture. For me, the tree is a nice addition to the image.

Seeing mute swans fly is probably something I will never see, so your image is a real treat.

Love the tree and the clouds at the bottom. Whites are handled beautifully for that time of day!

Peter- this is a terrific image, especially for a group of flying birds. The swans are in great formation with nice poses. The bit of tree silhouette adds nicely, and the birds are well- balanced around it. The clouds add interest as well. Do you shoot bursts to get images like this? If so, well-done! If not, and this is a single image, really exceptional!

A very nice capture of the flying swans as a group, Peter. I have not seen mute swans in the US. Exposure is very good - I enjoyed seeing the different poses against the background sky. I can see a little softness in the large version, perhaps from the cropping which should be easily fixable in the RAW image or through an extra round of sharpening. Very well composed and presented.
