The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Taken two years ago on a bitter cold day in December, overlooking Long Island Sound. I could sense a nice sunset coming and wanted to find a good foreground subject to include. With storm waves and strong winds often pummeling it, I’m surprised this sturdy specimen is still standing.

All comments and suggestions are welcome and thanks for viewing.
Technical Details
Canon EOS R50, 18-45mm lens @32mm, ISO 160. f/5.6, 1/1250s. For processing I reduced general exposure to -0.34, lowered the shadows to reveal some foreground and reduced highlights to darken the sky.

That sky is gorgeous, Jim! I really like the lone tree and the sun peeking through the branches.
I wonder if you could pull a little more detail out of the foreground. I know it’s shaded, but I think it needs a little pop. Also, there’s a bit of brush poking out of the top the boulder on the left. It grabs my eye.
Composition works nicely, and the color of the water adds to the sense of this being a chilly evening.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and helpful feedback @Preston_Birdwell, I will see how I can improve the image based on your suggestions.
Hi Jim,
This definitely looks like a cold blustery winter day along the water. The sunstar behind the tree works well and I quite like the subtle highlights on the grasses in front of the tree. I also like the bit of drama with the clouds in the sky. My only suggestion would be the same as @Preston_Birdwell about pulling a little more detail out of the FG and the bush sticking out over the rock on the left. Very nicely done and well worth tweaking a little bit.
Finally got around to working on this. Got rid of some vegetation drawing attention and reduced the shadows to show more detail in the foreground. Thanks for the help!
Jim, this is a lovely sunset where you’ve used the lone tree to your advantage. Trees can be amazingly tenacious. I like the look in the foreground rocks on the left in the redo, but find the grassy area around the tree’s base a bit too bright.
