Sitting by a pond

What feels serene to each of use is likely to be different. For me, sitting quietly by some water (in this case a small pond) immersed in the sights (rippled reflections) and sounds (light breeze) is as serene as it gets. That scenario is captured here with a leaf that had just fallen onto the pond in the midst of the late summer reflections from the surrounding forest.

Good point, Mark, serenity is indeed in the eyes of the beholder. My vision of serenity must also include (calm) water and bright color, which you’ve captured here. The ripples and well-placed leaf add a lot of interest to the scene, as well as the contrasting shades of green. Nicely composed and seen!
