On the last day of a 4 night/5 day float trip down Montana’s Smith River, we camped near this amazing field of Arrowleaf Balsamroot. For much of this trip, the river looked like what you see here, a wide slope on one side and steep cliffs on the other. This is a 5 vertical shot pano. I agree, the sweeping view is quite dramatic. I like the contrast between the flowers and the rugged rocks in the BG. The clouds seem to complement the whole scene, too.
