This one is pure Snowscape! It was the day after a heavy snowfall, there was heavy fog on Thompson Pass and the sun was burning through the fog. The title came from the fact that there all all kinds of smooth transitions in this scene. There is bright to dark, light to shadows, sharp to soft, textured to smooth, flat to peaks, low to high, yellow to blue, heavy fog to light fog, etc. Please view large for full effect.
Gary, this is a very mysterious and intriguing image. I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of figuring out what is what, from the tiny ridges in the lower right to the mountain/sky transition. There are lots of neat details to find, it’s a “can you find” picture that’s worth spending significant time viewing.
Soft and ephemeral with lots intriguing details to enjoy as my eye wanders around the scene, Gary. This has a wonderful air of mystery to it. I like this.
