Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I went to a “local” Bald Eagle location last week and the eagle action was pretty slow, but the gulls were active. I liked this one’s bathing activity.

Specific Feedback

I switched the order of the last two images because it felt like it told a story better that way-does it work for you?

Good idea to switch the last two. The sequence works well for me. In addition to your usual spot on technical aspects, you captured such wonderful splashes and expressions on the seagull. I especially like the third one with the gull headed directly at us. I really like these.

Wonderfully enjoyable series, Dennis. The images have so much energy and expressiveness I can’t help but smile. Thanks for sharing them.

Nice capture Dennis. I love seeing splashing water in bird photos so these appeal to me. I particularly like the third one with the head on pose and the face buried in the water.

Hi Dennis
Nice work with this Gull sequence, the last two are outstanding.
