I was able to capture this Otter hanging out in the kelp bed somewhere in the inside passage of Alaska. Photographing from a zodiac is always a challenge and it helps if you have a good hand at the tiller

Hi James! I was surprised to see this image had sat so long without any comments. This is a nice image of the sea otter. It has good color and detail. I suggest reducing the highlights if possible and they are distracting. There is a lot of flotsam around the otter but that is a normal environment for them. You did a great job of getting a good focus considering it was shot from a zodiac. Well done!
Steve, thank you for the comment and the processing issue. This area was a wildlife delight with a variety of animals in terrestrial and aquatic settings and yes, shooting from a crowded zodiac is a challenge
