This is a beautiful shot. Nice colors, pose and composition. It does appear that the greenery in front of the bird is more in focus than the bird so perhaps the wrong focus point was used.
Nice pose with the head turn. The green and blue colors work well together. Nice capture.
Great head turn and crest, John. The focus doesn’t look very off to me, if it’s off at all, but I do think the foreground needles could be darkened a bit so they’re less distracting and maybe a bit more sharpening on the jay would be useful.
